We're pretty sure that if they could, most people would live alone. But, rent ain't cheap, so it's roommates for the most of us. You've just got to hope at that point that you have a roommate who respects your space. That seems to be the classic mistake people make when they move in with friends. All of a sudden, you're living with somebody you thought you loved, and you're starting to realize you didn't know them as well as you thought you did. That's what happened in one Reddit post we stumbled on this week, where OP and their 10-year friend Brett moved in together. Ten years is a long friendship, so you think they'd be able to work it out. But, it only took a year before things started to really fall apart.
OP has a sick cat that they care for named Noodles. We've got a picture of Noodles included in the article down below and trust us, you're not going to want to miss it. This is one of the most adorable cats we've ever seen, and we love them even more because of all the health issues they've battled through. Noodles is only about half the size of a normal cat, needs to take medication constantly, and their health has become the most important thing for OP. That's why they were so mad when Brett brought home a random cat off the street, named Missy. Missy and Noodles immediately started fighting, and it changed Noodles' whole personality. So, OP had to make a choice, and they turned to Reddit for some advice. How can they get Brett to get rid of Missy? How can they protect Noodles? Are they in the wrong for wanting a one cat house? All that and more, right down below!
This Brett doesn't sound like a bad guy at the start. If he's somebody that you can talk to and explain things to, there shouldn't be any issues. But, as you'll all see in a minute, maybe he can't be talked to about everything. We just can't believe he thought his next actions were ever going to be alright.
If Brett's been living with Noodles for a year, he should love the cat too and shouldn't have wanted to put her in harm's way. We don't think he had malice in his heart when he brought Missy home. But, a little common sense would've helped in this situation. Just wait until you see how OP finally had to deal with all of it.
