People who say cats aren't affectionate have just not met the right cat. Cats are loving and loyal, they want to cuddle the people they love and trust; they want you to stay and play with them. You think it's hard to leave your dog at home all day while you're at work—have you ever seen what your cat does while you're away? Some just sit and stare at the door, longing for your return. Some meow bloody murder no understanding that you had to go to work in order to afford the fancy food they eat. Cats are smarty pants too, so they know they can use their cuteness against you. "Oh, I see you're holding your carkeys heading to the front door. Lemme just… purrrrrrrr, meeeeeow," then curls up on your feet and looks at you with the most helpless eyes. How can you possible go to work and just leave that poor sweet furball at home all alone?! Sorry, I have to quit my job, my cat needs me too…
"You can hear my heart break…"
This cat will drag you back inside if they have to!
Floofy cat does a straight up slide into homebase to stop you from leaving.
Mom: "Mama's gotta go to work!"
Cat: "…Nooooooooo."
"Oh, you're headed to the door… Lemme just be the cutest I can be before you leave and then maybe you'll think twice about leaving me!"
You're packing for a work trip and this is what your cat does:
Cat is still cute, but makes sure to show off at least one claw from their mvrder mitten so you know they're not messing around.
*alarm goes off* Cat: "Shhhhhh, just hit snooze and cuddle with me. Work is dumb anywayyyys. Wow this bed is so nice for cuddles."
"You can't leave me, mommy!"
Cat heartbreakingly just waits there staring at the door until mom returns…
Cat physically holds the door shut—sorry, no going to work for you today.
This cat has had it and wants to speak to your manager to start getting you to work from home or hire the cat to be the new manager.
Oh, you think you're safe once you're in the car? LOL This cat will sit on your car looking adorable no matter how many times you beep at it.
Cat's just trying to have a conversation with you about this, like, do you really have to leave?!
Cat plops on your lap and then refuses to leave. Sorry, just call out of work, tell your boss your cat is laying on your lap—they should understand.
Gotta have quality time before you leave your fur baby for a job you probably don't even like—you most definitely don't like your job as much as your cat.
