As cat owners, we understand that cats are not the most difficult to please. Give them their water, food, and pets every once in a while, and they'll be fine. Still, we love them and want to invest in them and their happiness. So, we do, and time and time again, we remember that cats… cats don't care about money. Cats will choose literally anything over expensive cat trees - the box takes first priority. Cats will choose cheap toys over expensive ones literally any day and every day. You'll buy your cat an expensive self-cleaning litter box, and it'll be a total fail.
Sometimes though, some things that we think won't be that expensive when it comes to cats are so expensive that they shock us. Specifically vet visits. Unexpected vet visits can sometimes cost so much money - and for the silliest things sometimes too. We've heard of unexpected vet visits of constipated cats costing thousands of dollars. Yup. But still… our kitties are worth every penny.
We remember the first time we had to take our cat to an unexpected vet visit. We were shooketh by the price tag at the end of the visit. Of course, we did not hesitate. Our cats are worth all the money in the world, and we paid without question, but goodness gracious, were we surprised smh.
We couldn't not. We would have asked friends and family for help if need be, we would have crowd funded (because the internet is full of kind people who love cats, and we help each other out), we would have done what was needed. Because cats are family, and you don't just leave family behind to suffer.
