I will be honest, the extent of my exposure to professional wrestling is quite limited. It includes the episode of Project Runway where the designers have to make outfits for female professional wrestlers. The ladies' expressions and presentation on the runway were so campy and ridiculous that it made Michael Kors burst into uncontrollable laughter.
That interaction really captures the spirit of wrestling: the girls that get it, get it, and the girls that don't, don't. Some people can't accept the theatrics, pageantry, and sheer bad*ssery that come with WWE wrestling. Sure, it's over the top, but being someone who buys into the emotion and characteristics of the storyline and characters, or a "mark," is necessary for all wrestling fans on some level. If you refuse to be a mark, you might as well drive on down to your local high school on a Saturday and watch wrestling there.
