'Two-week notice from hell:' Management humiliates worker in front of her entire team after she quits in the most respectful and professional way possible

The audacity of upper management sometimes (debatably most times…) is simply appalling. Just because they are higher up on the corporate ladder than you, they believe they can treat you like trash. What can you do other than quit and wash your hands of that toxic work environment? With the invention of the internet and social media, you can at least vent online and maybe shine a little light on this horrible work dynamic.

A woman online named Sophia recently took to her social media after getting verbally abused by her CEO and COO when she turned in her two-week notice. They way her upper management responded to her quitting you'd think she quit “burning bridges” style where she just flipped them all the bird and walked out or something. But Sophia actually considered her management as her professional mentors and respected them immensely. So when she quit she made sure it was after she had trained a good amount of new hires and it wasn't the busy time of the year. She even wrote in her two-week notice why she was quitting and a sentimental part letting them know how grateful she was having worked at the company for the several years she was there and for everything she learned—which is not even necessary.

Unfortunately, her CEO and COO quickly changed their tune as her professional mentors and immediately turned on her. They called her, insulted her saying she just couldn't handle the position, then demanded she stay for six weeks longer instead of two and never once thanked her for all her work or quitting so professionally. Then the proceeding day they sprang a meeting on her and her entire time in the middle of the day and used that time to completely humiliate her in front of her team without giving her a chance to speak at all.

Sophia was completely appalled and shocked. She looked up to these two men that helped her through these last two years of her career and now they were talking to her like she was a child in trouble and talking about her like she was a lazy incompetent employee worthless to the company. She took to her TikTok to vent immediately after that horrible day she had and assures the viewers that even though she wasn't given a chance to speak up during the meeting, she stayed firm about her last day at work and that she would most definitely not be staying for six more weeks. Maybe if her CEO and COO had treated her with more respect she would've done them that favor, but they long lost that sort of respect after how they handled her two-week notice.
