If you can't take the heat, don't stand in the kitchen, or however that saying goes… Basically, if you're trying to date someone who thrives off getting roasted or roasting someone, then you better be able to roast just as witty back. Saying "I love you" is hard and scary. Saying, "you have the most beautiful 5-head I've ever seen" is funny and romantic! If you have enough material on your partner to roast them, that means you two have a lot of trust between each other. You guys both share secrets with each other AND trust each other not to use the ones that will truly obliterate you. Roasting is an art that takes practice. It's not about hurting anybody's feelings, if you've done that then you've gone too far. Roasting is about feeling comfortable with one each other and how you feel about each other. Like, if your partner calls you out for having a bad haircut, you might feel burned, but you know deep down that he still thinks you are the most beautiful creature in the world.
