If you snore and take over the bed you forfeit the right to request your partner to sleep with you every night. This married couple is having a different kind of problem in the bedroom. While everything else in their relationship seems to be going smoothly, the one bit of conflict comes when the lights go off.
The facts are these: one partner snores. A lot. He also hogs most of the bed after he falls asleep and refuses to change his ways. It's gotten so bad that the other partner sneaks over to the couch each night. Not only does the snoring one refuse to take steps to improve matters, but also he gets sad at the idea that his partner is no longer the first thing he sees in the morning when he wakes up.
Honestly, that sounds like the price he has to pay for not wanting to change. It's just like the Redditor explained in his thread on Reddit's r/AmITheA**hole subreddit, a post he wrote at 2 am while his partner was in the next room - you guessed it - snoring up a storm: "if you want to see me in the morning, walk to the couch, there I am."
We recommend that the original poster gets a bed of his own, has his husband pay for half if not all of it, and if it's really that important, each morning Snoring Husband can crawl into Non-Snoring Husband's bed for morning snuggling. If that's not enough to satisfy the Great Snoring Giant…too bad.
We've seen other instances of couples fighting over seemingly small matters. This man-child was tricked into thinking his wife's cooking was his mother's.
