Nothing is more American than a bald eagle overcoming a huge adversity. This beautiful and majestic creature was found injured in Pennsylvania under a telephone pole. Though the x-rays showed that she had no broken bones, she still completely unable to move her legs. After running many tests, they had hope that she would be able to be rehabilitated. After many many months of physical therapy and rest, she started moving her legs once again. But not your typical waddling around like birds do when they walk. Oh no, this bald eagle is much more entertaining. She enjoys tiptapping and stomping around, really showing off how her legs are working once again. So they named her Tiptoe!

Though Tiptoe isn't fully healed and still has a was to go before she is 100%, the Red Creek Wildlife Center that is doing her rehabilitation says she will definitely be able to be released back into the wild. In the meantime, they love the show she puts on when she gives her little tiptappies. Though she isn't able to do it for very long right now, it is still entertaining and fills everyone's heart with glee and hope. She went from unable to move her legs to the Gene Kelly of birds. (Gene Kelly was also from Pennsylvania btw, maybe he reincarnated as a bald eagle!)

Truly and inspiration, Tiptoe's epic transformation is playing the heartstrings of everyone on the internet and thus has made her viral. I mean, have you ever seen a wild bald eagle do a little tap dance for you? I don't think so! Everyone is rooting for Tiptoe and now paying close attention to her rehabilitation journey. Hopefully the wildlife center will share her release back into her natural habitat when the time comes! She'll then be the first tap dancer to fly! Truly a beautiful story.
