The first time we ever adopted a kitten was nothing like we ever expected. Don't get us wrong, we knew that pets come with a lot of responsibilities and we were fully mentally prepared for them. But what we weren't prepared for was how hard it would be to name her. We expected to see our kitten and immediately know right then and there what her designated name will be. But oh boy, were we wrong.
The first time we laid eyes on her - we were flabbergasted. She was tiny, she was shy and oh-so cute. But no name came to mind. She was a mix of shades of brown, white, and a little bit of black. We later thought about naming her Snickers, but it just didn't feel right. We toyed around with some human names but they too did not feel authentic. The pressure was getting to us because by week 3 we still didn't have a name. Nothing felt right, nothing stuck. And then, one magical day, we randomly turned on the TV, and sailor moon was on. And that, friends, is how our cat was named Luna.
"This is Simba I named him after the lion cub in Lion King. Even though he has stripes, he's kinda the color of a lion."
Undeniably, you made the best choice ??
"Style 4. We have a Zeus at home so this is Athena.....ummm, errr well, now Ares. The shelter that we brought him to where we found him mis identified her/him. This god of war is afraid of everything but he is such a sweet boy!"
Excellent choice. Looks like a real Zeus to us!
