Whenever we come across a twitter thread like this one, all we can do is… laugh. You know, it's just fun to know that people have forever and always been as obsessed with their cats as we are obsessed with ours now. It doesn't matter if it's a thread of paintings of cats destroying stuff through the centuries, or if it's a thread of paintings of people throughout history spoon-feeding cats like babies, or if it's a thread of cats throughout history being peeved by wearing costumes, or a thread of hooligan cats stealing food in still life paintings throughout history. Seeing these threads makes us happy. And it makes us feel less ridiculous about the fact that our camera roll is about 93% cat pics.
And today, we have yet another treat like the previous ones for you guys - a whole thread full of pictures of barn cats getting blasted in the face with milk straight from the cow's teat. And yup, we can safely say that if we had owned a cow, we would certainly be blasting our cats in the face with fresh milk too.
More than anything, what we love about these photos is just how enthusiastic the cats seem about what's happening. We can imagine that this used to be the historical version of "opening a can of cat food and having your cat run toward it". Just pspsps your cat, point the teat in its direction, and it will come on runnin' for some fresh milk.
See? In every single photo, the cats are ready and excited, standing on their back paws, fully prepared to catch every drop as it comes flying toward them. We really, honestly love these photos so much.
