Bride and Groom Break Up Before Wedding, She Gets Mad at Sister-in-Law for Canceling $700 Wedding Gift

You can't cancel your wedding and still collect your gifts, honey. This thread was posted to Reddit's r/AmITheA**hole subreddit by u/Relative_Attempt6316, who shared how she canceled the $700 gift she ordered for her husband's sister after learning that her sister-in-law and her fiancé broke off their engagement.

The big mistake here is that the sister-in-law was already well aware of the gift the Redditor had purchased, so she was expecting its delivery. The crazy part though is that she actually had the audacity to reach out and ask where the gift was. According to the comments section on Reddit, it's customary for the would-be bride and groom to return gifts if the wedding doesn't pan out. This whole scenario is one giant awkward situation. The fact that the mother-in-law even stepped in to defend the sister-in-law says a lot about the Redditor's in-laws and how much she's going to have to deal with moving forward.
