As much as they love to put on a bad b*tch facade and pretend as if they have 0 cares in the world, cats actually do care… a lot. Yeah, it's true cats are super independent and maybe at times even closed off or standoffish, but that's only because they've been through so much. Think about it, cats live 9 lives and by the time they enter our lives, we can only imagine all the chaos and experiences life has thrown their way. So we can't blame em for choosing to have their guard up sometimes. Super relatable if you ask us. 

But as any cat owner knows, deep deep down, under all that sass and pride, lie sweet and sensitive little creatures. Ones that are so intuitive, they can physically feel your pain and help relieve it. This brings us to today's article. My current cat Mash used to snuggle cheek to cheek with me every morning but as he's gotten older the snuggles get fewer and farther between. They put it in a splint because it was too swollen to put a cast on yet. They gave me crutches and I went home. I tried to get around the best I could with the crutches but by bedtime I was done with them. My lovely cat jumped up onto the bed with her eyes huge and gave this really distressed meow. She then dabbed both my cheeks with her paw (no claws) like she wanted to wipe away my tears. After I make it there, she stares at her food, acts like she's going to eat, looks at the refrigerator, then back to her food. She'll keep this up until I start preparing.
