Warm Your Heart On This Chilly Day With Some Wholesome Stories Of Cats Being Sweet And Nurturing To Their Owners

As much as they love to put on a bad b*tch facade and pretend as if they have 0 cares in the world, cats actually do care… a lot. Yeah, it's true cats are super independent and maybe at times even closed off or standoffish, but that's only because they've been through so much. Think about it, cats live 9 lives and by the time they enter our lives, we can only imagine all the chaos and experiences life has thrown their way. So we can't blame em for choosing to have their guard up sometimes. Super relatable if you ask us. 

But as any cat owner knows, deep deep down, under all that sass and pride, lie sweet and sensitive little creatures. Ones that are so intuitive, they can physically feel your pain and help relieve it. This brings us to today's article.     "For three long years I had chronic pain that no pain pill would touch so all I could do is lay in bed and scream. One night upon hearing me scream my Malachi came to my bedside and brought me his favorite toy as if he was giving it to me to make feel better. Malachi is incredibly gentle and affectionate and all he wants is for people to be happy so it makes sense that he was trying to comfort me. He can't stand hearing his humans in distress so he tries to comfort people if he hears them be under duress."

    Font - Top fan Jody Cooley My previous cat Bug would knead my lower back when I had cramps or he would lay beside my head when I had a migraine. My current cat Mash used to snuggle cheek to cheek with me every morning but as he's gotten older the snuggles get fewer and farther between. Both kitties greet(ed) me at the door when I get home from work every day.

    Font - Julie Ann O'Clock I broke my foot skateboarding down a half-pipe and tried to "walk it off" before going to the ER and finding out it was indeed broken. They put it in a splint because it was too swollen to put a cast on yet. They gave me crutches and I went home. I tried to get around the best I could with the crutches but by bedtime I was done with them. In the middle of the night I had to pee and decided it would just be easier to crawl to the bathroom than try to use the crutches....a

    Font - April McInerney This story is about my gorgeous black oriental. When my partner died suddenly due to a motorbike accident, I was crying and lying on my bed. My lovely cat jumped up onto the bed with her eyes huge and gave this really distressed meow. She then dabbed both my cheeks with her paw (no claws) like she wanted to wipe away my tears.     Font - Rachel MacDonald Mine tries to get me to eat sometimes. She'll bite my pant leg, then try to pull me to the kitchen. After I make it there, she stares at her food, acts like she's going to eat, looks at the refrigerator, then back to her food. She'll keep this up until I start preparing. She sits on the linoleum as I make something for myself. Then, she sits next to me on the carpet while I eat. She'll stay there until I'm done. I think she was a therapy cat before we got her.
