Bebe the Glamorous Rescue Turkey Lives the Good Life, Becoming One of the Lucky Few to Survive Thanksgiving

With Thanksgiving just around the corner, a lot of us are starting to think about all of the delicious and wonderful dishes we will see on the table. There's stuffing, mashed potatoes, ham, yams, beans, and most importantly, that delicious 20lbs bird at the center of it all. The Turkey. For most people, turkey is the biggest staple of the day, in fact, some even call Thanksgiving “Turkey Day” or go on 5k runs the morning called a “Turkey Trot”. What's crazy is that 46 Million turkeys are eaten every year on Thanksgiving alone. One lucky bird won't hear it.

One  turkey, who is more spoiled than any other pet in the house, will never see this fate and actually lives a life better than most human beings. Bebe the rescue turkey lives in a home with 5 cats, eating off the plates of her hoomans, laying eggs in the house, rustling her feathers in the yard, and generally living her best life

Bebe was taken in as a baby, looking more like a bald chicken than a turkey, and was raised on this homestead with the dreams of one day becoming a bonafide member of the house. Well, it looks like she made her way into the folds of this family, nesting deep into their lives and tugging on their heartstrings every day. She gets a big yard to romp with, cats to back-sass, and an infinite supply of human food to eat directly off of her owners plate. Just look at this pasta dish she gets to peck at.

She's even a picky eater when it comes to her treats. If it's not fried or smothered in sauce or cheese, she won't think twice. But dangle a french fry in front of her pecker and she'll hop up to it eagerly.

Bebe is not only a spoiled turkey but also a glamorous one. She gets regular dirt baths to clean her feathers (similar to a chinchilla's spa routine), and she even sometimes gets a beauty makeover. In one video she literally has false lashes on, making her look like a Looney Toon heart throb, a cartoonish seductive fowl who somehow gets the best of Elmer Fudd. Either way, it's pretty clear that Bebe is in no immediate danger this Thanksgiving. She has her life sorted out for her, probably getting foot rubs every night before cuddling into the covers of her owners bed. If only we could all be so lucky.
