The idea that someone can consider themselves to be above you just because of some thinly-veiled title is usually laughable and easily shatters when put to the test. Just digging even a little bit under the surface is often enough. Guys like this manager fold like a house of cards and show their hand when you offer even the smallest amount of resistance.
When this worker was told they had to come into work during their scheduled leave, they quickly dismissed the request with a polite “No thank you.” This was met with a firmer demand which escalated into the manager threatening the worker and calling them “replaceable." When the worker decided to quit on the spot, the manager quickly backpedaled, suddenly deflating and backing down from their strong stance.
