Everyone is aware, of course, that 2022 has been a difficult year. You turn on the news, and you get blasted in the face with all the craziness of the world - and there has truly been a lot of craziness this year. Still, that doesn't mean that good things didn't happen. And in fact, in the animal world, many good stories came out of the news. People have been kinder to animals this year than we expected, considering everything else that's going on. From your regular animal rescue stories all the way to the heartwarming cat rescue stories that came from heroic people in Ukraine.
As the end of the year is nearing, we wanted to focus on the good that came out of this year. So, we decided to put together the 30 most positive and interesting animal news stories of 2022, and it was awesome to see just how many stories there were for us to choose from. A pride of lions was airlifted from Ukraine to Colorado in the "biggest-ever warzone rescue of lions". Seven adult lions and two cubs were transferred to the Wild Animal Sanctuary that is located near Springfield, Colorado, on September 29.
