Font - I put salt in my drinks to find out who's been stealing them I (23f) took my first job one month after I gave birth to my youngest daughter. It was difficult for me to work graveyard at a call center and since I am breastfeeding both (two) of my daughters, I couldn't always drink anything with caffeine.

Font - So, in order to keep me awake, I make my own special drink. I always bring two bottles of it, I put the other one on the fridge in the pantry while I bring the other one with me on my desk. After lunch, I would grab my extra. After a while, I noticed that the bottle aren't full anymore. Until one time, it's just empty.

Font - I wanted to know who's been stealing my drinks so I brought three bottles (2 of those stayed in my bag) The extra (3rd) bottle, instead of sugar, I poured A LOT OF SALT. It was at least 30% salt. (Edit:) DURING lunch break, I placed the bottle in the fridge and waited patiently. And there she goes! She opened the fridge, went straight for my bottle, and CHUG! CHUG! PUKE! Literally spit at the floor then ran to the toilet. I will never forget the look on her face.

Font - That probably wont stop her from stealing so just to play safe, I never left any of my food or drinks on the fridge ever again. EDIT: I'm gonna add my comment if anyone's interested about the "special drink"

Font - I am sorry to disappoint and I probably shouldn't have called it "special drink" but the reason was because everyone else at that company either bought their coffee from the nearby starbucks, 7/11, or was made from those instant 3in1 coffee - I made my own according to my taste 3 tbsp of Milo 3 tbsp of Ovaltine 2 tbsp of Coffeemate creamer powder 2 tbsp of white sugar 500ml of water and sometimes I would add 1/2 tbsp of black coffee Best served cold, with lots of ice and if feeling crazy,

Font - Newsy McNewsface. 4 hr. ago My old job was but they would check cameras and fire people if food or drinks were being stolen. Also, who chugs someone else's drink and puts it back? Gross. 998 Reply Share

Font - lunalunaluna1999 OP - 4 hr. ago Food thieves are common in that workplace (I don't work there anymore) and they are usually the people you least expect to be the thief. Management solution to these situations was to put up a sign in the pantry that says, "we are not responsible for your own belongings" and "respect each other's properties" 503 Reply Share

Font - mike_pants 4 hr. ago There was a story in here about someone using super-spicy seasoning to catch someone stealing their food, and the thief actually brought HR into the mix and charged OP with trying to poison her. It took way longer than you'd have expected to resolve in their favor. 233 Reply Share

Font - The 2 hr. ago DemonHauntedWorld. I've told this story before on Reddit. My mom used to be a bank teller. One of her coworkers would bring a carton of milk for him to drink during lunch. After a while, someone started opening and drinking his milk. He put a note on the milk, talked with everyone, but to no avail, his milk was still getting open. So he bought a bunch of laxatives, and injected in carton with a syringe. Like tons of laxatives (dangerous levels). Put his milk in the fridge an

Font - Well... soon after everyone started noticing one guy going a lot to the bathroom, he would attend a few clients and leave to the bathroom, attend a few more and go to the bathroom. At lunch he didn't ate anything. Then after lunch he finally decided to go home. At this point the milk owner had already told most people what he had done. So everyone knew why milk thief was having problems. This was the last time he had his milk tempered with.

Font - clouddevourer 3 hr. ago It honestly blows my mind how many people think it's okay for them to just take somebody's food without asking. I just can't imagine what sort of reasoning leads them to think it's okay to do that. There are many bad things people do that I think don't necessarily mean they're bad people, but if you take others' food (as an adult who is presumably not starving to death), I'll automatically assume you're rotten to the core. Font - mischiffmaker. 4 hr. ago Great petty revenge! Fun fact: A few grains of salt in a cup of coffee removes bitterness (and does not make it taste salty, even if you don't add any sugar at all). 38 Reply Share

Font - aWarAtTarawa 2 hr. ago One time at my old job this dude was bragging about this slammin sub he just bought for lunch. Had full conversations about how this sub place was the best. On lunch he went in to get his sub and opened it up just to find out someone ate his sub and rewrapped it shaped and stuffed with paper towels. Dude was so mad but he brought a lunch too so he ate but boy was he mad.
