‘What Is SHE Doing Here?!’ : Son Mortified When His Parents Invite His Ex Girlfriend to Breakfast Without Telling Him
People get together, then they break up, then they get together with someone else, then they break up… It's called the circle of life, y'all. Everything is temporary. And breakups suck. There aren't enough words in the human dictionary to describe that awful pit in your stomach, the actual pain that your heart endures when you're missing someone, or when you're feeling rejected. It's really tough. The only thing that can make a breakup even more awkward, is if your parents interfere. Yeah, that'll do it.
While scrolling through r/AITA, we happened upon a post that made us roll our eyes and go 'Oh no'. Look, it's sweet when you love 'love'. When you see two people who you think are meant to be, you want them to be together. It makes sense. But you weren't a part of the relationship, dad! So quit crossing your kid's boundaries and warn him when you invite his ex over for breakfast! Even if it's a good deed. We can't imagine how awkward it would feel to wake up groggily, looking like crap, and not be told beforehand that our ex is at our kitchen table. Give us a sec to dress up at least. Sheesh.
