You know, being a cat is really, really hard. You may look at them and think that they just sleep and eat all day long, but that's not true. Cats have many responsibilities. Cats have to chatter at every bird that they see, because for some reason, the humans aren't doing it. Cats have to chase every single bug in the house- so long as its comfortably within reach, of course. Cats have to zoom around at full speed at a inconsistent schedule that's actually totally secretly consistent. And if cats don't get to their responsibilities on time because of inconvenient things like their humans petting them or something, then they get very upset and grumpy.
In fact, cats can be very annoyed with their lives sometimes. They grump. Because life is hard like that. And we laugh. At them, not with them of course. Because our highly spoiled cats being displeased with their very hard lives is hilarious.
This is love, nothing else. This is exactly how real siblings show love to one another. So, really, this kitty grumpily tolerating this treatment from its sibling is the purest demonstration of sibling love. And we love to see it.
We do appreciate the acceptance that cats have sometimes. It's always a tossup - whether your kitty will fight you when you try to give it love or will go completely lax and just let you have your way with it for a while. There's no way to know which one we will get, but we still try, try, try.
