At some point in every cat's life, something will switch on in its brain - some unexpected function that you never knew existed. And out of nowhere, your cat will dive for some food that you never see coming. Every single cat has some non-meat food that it is obsessed with and will fight you for.
Some cats are really into bread. That seems to be a relatively common non-meat food that cats go for. Other cats will stop at nothing to get sweets from you - and it doesn't matter that cats can't actually taste sweetness. There are even cats who love vegetables. Yes, we didn't believe it either until we saw it. But what matters most is that your cats will go a long way to get that food from you once they lock onto it. They will truly do some ridiculous things.
