‘When You Have Nothing to Give but Love’ : Homeless Man Throws Wholesome Birthday Party for Dogs, Goes Viral, Receives Help From All Over the World

We're so blessed to have animals in our lives. Even when things look extra gloomy, we can always count on the unconditional love of our pets. So when their birthday arrives, they deserve to be celebrated as if we were celebrating our own. We may not always have a lot to give, but we can still give our love. That always counts for something! Happiness can be found, even in the darkest of times, if one only remembers to turn on the light ('Sup Dumbledore reference)… 

While scrolling through Instagram, we happened across a special kind of story. A kind stranger was strolling along the street in Colombia when he happened across a wholesome sight. A homeless man was sitting on some steps of a public park with two dogs, some birthday attire, and a small cake. He was singing them ‘Happy Birthday’, giving them hugs and kisses, and just generally showering them with a whole lot of love. 

The Heartwarming Sight

We're not crying, you're crying! The bystander approached the adorable three companions and found out that the man's name was Choco, and he was actually homeless. Choco's dogs are named Shaggy and Nena. The person who was filming offered Choco some help. He posted the video and amassed a lot of views — suddenly a lot of people began donating food, supplies, and money to help Choco and his cute critters get back on their feet.

As you can see, people couldn't help but get involved, and we're so glad that they did. The digital age has been really helpful in providing awareness about those in need. Now Choco is doing so much better and even has a pretty impressive Instagram following (175k+). He has a warm place to live, and still throws the most awesome doggo birthday parties in the world!
