You know that moment when you're tasked with doing your manager's job for free and then subsequently shamed for it? Many of us have been there.
In this case, this Redditor worked at a little well-known retail chain we'll refer to as Great Bill. The Redditor, who uses the pseudonym Nat and who shared his story via this now-deleted thread on Reddit's r/MaliciousCompliance subreddit, was asked by his store manager to do returns by using the store manager and head cashier's tags to sign in. Then, one day, the district manager - whom Nat calls Super B**** - waltzes in and immediately takes issue with what Nat is doing. Nat gets completely shamed for this, and by the time his supervisors step in to say it's ok for him to keep doing returns, Nat decided to stand his ground. Until he receives an apology, he will not be doing extra work. We'd like to also amend this statement by saying that he shouldn't be doing this work anyway until he receives a little thing called a promotion.
