The Greedy Thieves at McDonald's Jacked Up the Price of Hash Browns & We're All Mad About It

I received a very disturbing text this morning in my 20-person group chat. It was an image ripped from the McDonald's app, and it shook me to the core. I squinted in disbelief. “Does it really say $2.99 next to that hash brown?” I wondered to myself. My eyes, sadly, did not deceive me. They jacked that sh*t up. 

$2.99 may seem like a paltry sum on the surface, but the fact that the price of this POTATO product has been increased doesn't bode well when we're talking about inflations and recessions. If this is a sign of the times, then times are pretty damn bleak. And, boy, are the people of the Internet unhappy about it.

While there are many people complaining about the price of our favorite McDonald's breakfast item, it was @comradeaux who went viral over the news. 

As of publication, their tweet has racked up over 40k likes and a whopping 1k replies, many of which lament inflation, the recession, and the collapse of society. We obviously want people to be talking about these things, and if the catalyst is hash browns, well, so be it.
