Font - Roommate disrespected my space. I cut her power In College I had a annoying Roommate She would stay up all night with her lamp on, eating loudly writing her "Novel" and sleep all day demanding I be quiet. She had a floor lamp with branching arms that she insisted on putting on my side of the room directly next to the door. When you walked into the room you were met with a face full of lamp. I smashed my face many times. I kept putting it on her side of the room and when I returned from cl

Font - Singe42 OP. 6 hr. ago Even better the fire would be traced back to her lamp and she would have to pay for damaging the whole dorm! I did make sure it wasn't a clean cut so if she found out I could say it must have just scraped against the housing from moving the wire too much.

Font - Darkweeper 3 hr. ago No they'd be able to tell the cord was cut and you'd been charged with arson.

Font - . 3 hr. ago Tom1252 I don't see how if the cord was frayed, half melted, and broken in a reasonable spot.

Font - Darkweeper 3 hr. ago They can definitely tell. You'd be amazed what fire investigators can figure out.

Font - Draymond_Purple +1. 50 min. ago I have no idea why folks don't believe you - they can figure out exactly how and why a fire started pretty much every time. Pinning it on a particular person is what's hard. But considering the only other person with access to the lamp is OP, pretty easy to charge them with arson.

Font - . 3 hr. ago Darkweeper So you cut a wire partially and left it plugged in? Great way to try to burn down a building just so you could get your way.

Smile - buddhahoti693 hr. ago The first time hitting the lamp is when I would have had it yeet out the door into the bin!

Font - Hellagranny 3 hr. ago Use your words. By the way, getting away with arson shouldn't be your primary concern about creating a fire hazard in a communal space.

Font - dabassmonsta Wonderful! 6 hr. ago She deserved that. No reason why she couldn't work during the day.

Font - Dull-Geologist-8204 . 13 min. ago In all likelihood OP was just as bad as she was. Morning people are the worst. They just don't see it as being bad because they are entitled to being noisy when night owls sleep but if the night owl does the same thing to them they are the absolute worat person ever. All I see is two people living together that shouldn't have been and OP downplaying her part in the problem and trying to burn down a whole dorm to make her point.

Font - Windk86 +1.3 hr. ago I would have said: if you want me to be quiet I don't want to see your fugly lamp on my side of the room.
