'I convinced myself I was going to end up alone...': Women share love stories where one relationship ended in heartbreak, but the next led to forever

Sometimes when a relationship ends it feels like no other pain you have ever felt. Maybe you have been through breakups before or maybe you haven't, but sometimes there is just that one relationship that ends in pure undiluted heartbreak. The stuff that great songs and historical literature is written about. The kind of love that ends and leaves you feeling like you just came back from war. That feeling of "I will never love again" is all too familiar for people who have experienced that kind of heartbreak. And in the moment it really does feel that way.

However, a Reddit thread on r/AskWomen is assuring those going through such heartbreaks that the feeling of being "forever alone" will pass and you will love again. In fact, many of these people who went through this kind of end to a relationship actually found their true "forever person" afterwards. People are sharing stories of having epiphanies of their exes where when they initially broke up they thought their world had ended, but eventually realized that their ex was toxic AF and now they don't even find them attractive.
