It's no secret that we hate group projects; they bring out the absolute worst in people. But I'd also argue that group projects are one of the few things schools assign that prepares you for the challenges you'll face for the rest of your life.
Group projects are important for teaching the challenges of communicating with entitled individuals, doing your peer's work for them, being graded on others' lack of participation, and having others take credit for your work. All of which you'll repeatedly face once you join the workforce. Cause here's the rub: These people don't just disappear after high school and university; they're here walking among us, probably even reading these words.
I could list at least a handful of times I got stuck doing group projects in my university biology courses because my partners had "more important classes" they were focusing on for their pre-med requirements. Those people are all doctors now.
Anyways, none of my project partners were nearly as bad as this insane individual, who thought that they could use some weird alpha male manifestation technique to threateningly suggest that their partner do their entire project.
