'AITA for having an affair?': Cheating husband betrays his wife with cancer, tries to justify it because she wasn't spicy enough in the bedroom

Cancer sucks. Without a doubt, it's one of those illnesses that tear down a person to their lowest form. For one man, his wife's cancer apparently tore him down to his lowest form as well, turning him into the biggest lowlife we have ever seen. u/ThrowRA_manwithnplan is on Reddit right now asking if he is a jerk for having an affair while his wife deals with cancer. The short answer is, yes absolutely. And the long answer is yes, without a doubt, he is the worst POS the world has ever seen.

Manwithnoplan starts his post by basically blaming his ailing wife, who is literally withering away while he cheats on her and pursues a romantic affair with a high school sweetheart. Not only that, but the man seems unremorseful that his teenaged daughter found out. He even has some salty feelings towards the rest of the family's response to his cheating. That's the kind of man we're dealing with here, folks.

For starters, he seemed peeved that his wife's attitude changed even after she was in remission. She was struggling with daily chores and became cold and distant whenever OP asked for intimacy. No 💩 Sherlock, she just faced d3ath and, by the sound of it, had to navigate it without her husband's help. Naturally, Manwithnoplan's hyper-male dormant lizard brain took over and since his wife was refusing marriage counseling, he "reconnected with a high school friend" and they had an affair. Basically he just wanted to get some and because his dying wife couldn't provide, he looked elsewhere. Jeez.

His teenaged daughter found out and blamed him for their family falling apart (obviously) and the extended family isn't talking to him anymore (obviously). But the man still doesn't get it. Is he TA for for cheating on his cancerous wife? To us, it seems incredibly clear that he's the biggest waste of space ever to walk the Earth.
