Font - SlothLoverAJE My mom liked the name Robin. Doesn't seem too bad until you consider that the first syllable of our last is pronounced "egg." Robin Egg. Thank goodness my parents noticed this. Pretty quickly, I hope. :D (I never asked how quickly they noticed it.)

Font - squidgemobile Not your question, but I once met a baby named Brick... But they spelled in Bhric. It's so terrible that it's burned into my memory forever. Otherwise, my least favorite was a friend/coworker who names her daughter Luiseach (pronounced Lucy). It's apparently the Irish Gaelic spelling, but given that the parents are both Americans living in rural Ohio and do not speak Irish, and it's a fairly common American name, I feel a bit bad for the little girl who will need to correct

Font - j_ho_lo Someone I used to work with had a boy several years ago. Before he was born she mentioned that the two names they were deciding between were Mason and Taysom. I think I physically recoiled when I heard Taysom and thought for sure no one would name their child that. And yet, they sure did. I cringe every time she posts about him on Facebook. For some reason I can't get over how much I hate that name.
