Artificial intelligence is growing larger and more powerful with every passing day, impacting all types of jobs. One of the most vocal majority about the dangers of AI have been teachers. Artificial intelligence like ChatGPT makes it possible to write entire school papers in a matter of seconds. Instead of going to class, taking notes, researching, writing, revising, editing, and submitting a paper, students can now produce a meticulously written paper on any subject with a few button clicks. It's a whole new world, and it's no wonder teachers like this guy are being extra over-the-top cautious.
As u/The-Rice-Boi wrote to the r/ChatGPT subreddit with this explosive story, which, as people noted in the comments, the media would love to know about. This is new territory with AI! The OP claims that their high school history teacher blames them for cheating using ChatGPT, even though the student showed their Google Docs history to try and clear their name. The teacher isn't convinced, especially since he's caught a few other students using the AI to write their essays. It seems like the OP got some good advice in the comments, adding that they will "escalate this to the department head," as well as involving their parents in this serious allegation.
Up next, this guy wanted to name his daughter Parmesan — and he's not the only person picking quirky and weird names for his kid.
