The more time we spend as cat owners… the more weird habits we develop. It's impawssible to avoid. Cats have a huge influence on us - because we love them, perhaps a bit too much. Over time, we have started doing things… that non-cat owners might find to be a bit weird. We talk to our cats as if they're humans and barely even notice ourselves doing it. We buy our cats expensive cat things even though we know our cats will choose literally anything over expensive cat trees and toys. We even keep random boxes lying around our house because we know that our cats looove boxes. To us, this stuff seems normal, but to people who don't live with cats, it might be a little weird. 

Still, we don't care about their opinions. We want to make our cats as happy as pawssible, and if that means wondering if we should or shouldn't keep the lights on while they're eating… those are just the kinds of questions that we have to ask ourselves sometimes. Hey, it's impolite to turn off the light while they're eating!

    Seriously, we wish there were more advice columns like this one - not just because this is wholesome and pure and everything that the news is not nowadays, but also because we legitimately want to learn a bunch of new and amazing ways to spoil our little furablls.

    For anyone who wants to read the article, here's a link to it right here. But the gist of it is just: it's better not to turn off the lights while your cats are eating because the change might spook them. They can totally munch on stuff in the dark without you worrying, generally speaking.
