AITA: 'His GF is disgusting': Catty female friend trash talks her ex's new girlfriend, proving that she's not only jealous, but completely in denial

An ex is an ex no matter how long it's been. Even if you dated years ago and are now best friends, there's still a piece of you that was romantically involved with them– there's no denying that. One woman on Reddit recently learned how powerful that shred of romanticism was when she attended the house warming party of her ex-boyfriend and his new live-in girlfriend. Claiming that he was now her 'best friend' she took some heavy opinions on his new boo that would make anyone a skeptic. 

u/Sea-Glass-2274 is a 22 year old who once dated her male bestie from high school, Danny. As they grew up, it was clear that they should try to date but she claimed there was no spark between them. Well apparently there was a little too much of a spark between him and his new girlfriend, Lucy, because things got catty when they all attended the couple's house warming party. 

SeaGlass immediately felt rivaled by Lucy, commenting on her 'revealing' outfit and her extroverted antics, clearly judging the new girl's lifestyle, friendships, and relationship with her ex. Regardless of how many times she claimed to deny her feelings for her friend, her post makes it clear that she couldn't stand to see him with someone else. By the end of the night she had had enough and decided it was time to show her true colors: green. 

Before leaving in a huff, SeaGlass trash talked Lucy to Danny's face, calling her 'disgusting' and commenting on her trampy behavior. Not only did SeaGlass ruin the celebratory event with her jealousy, but she had the audacity to refuse an apology days later. Hmm maybe she should consider what it means to be so judgmental of her ex-boyfriend's new girl…
