Human body - AITA for defending my brother and asking for my money back from his future wife's bachlorette?
  • 02
Font - I'm 24F. My brother 35M is getting married next month to 34F, "Becky". She had her bachlorette party this weekend at a cabin by a lake. Everyone had to pay $225 for the rental and food and drinks. I am part of the wedding since I'm doing a reading and got to go. I didn't really know anyone else other than Becky so I was already feeling a bit excluded. The afternoon started off ok, but it went off the rails the first night.

Font - The MOH called us all in and put on a power point slide show of all Becky's exes or guys she had hooked up with, with pictures of them shirtless or whatever from their social media and music and "funny" captions and then rating them /10.
  • 04
Font - For example there was a pic of some super tattooed rednecky looking guy and they played a song called "ever been f*cked by a country boy" with rude lyrics and everyone else seemed to think it was hysterical. And a guy she dated from work to the Law and Order theme song (becky is a lawyer). And a German guy she met on vacation to some screaming German heavy metal song.
  • 05
Font - There were pics of Becky kissing them and one guy picking her up in a bikini. We went through more than 15 guys by the time I finally stood up and left the room.

Font - One of the other bridesmaids came and got me. I said it really hurt my feelings since it felt like she was disrespecting my brother and bragging about her promiscuity. The friend said it was just a joke, that the MOH put it together, not Becky, but seeing all these guys rubbed in my face was disrespectful.

Font - I came back downstairs later for food and all the other girls were giving me cut eye. Becky said sorry if that was awkward for me but it's all in the past, she loves my brother, etc etc. I asked her how many of those guys she said she loved, and said it changed the way I thought of her.
  • 08
Font - She said that my brother has a past too but that I need to get over it and if it doesn't bother her or my bro, it shouldn't bother me. She said that people have lives over 30 and that I was being immature. It was really dismissive. I asked her if my bro knew about the slideshow and she said no.
  • 09
Font - I left Saturday before everyone got up in the morning. I talked to my bro, who said he didn't want to see the slideshow and to leave him out of it as long as there were no guys actually there.
  • 10
Font - I said there weren't but he should know this side of Becky before her marries her. He said he knows she's dated and he's obviously dated before too but I said he'd never do a slideshow about it and he said no probably not. I talked to my mom about it and she agreed the slideshow wasn't classy.

Font - Where I wonder if AITA is I asked for my money back. We all had to pay $225. I told Becky that given what happened I wanted my money back and she e transferred me the $225 but said she needed "a time out" from me. My brother says leave him out of it. Was that over the top given what happened?

Font - lihzee 3 hr. ago Prime Ministurd [400] YTA. Yes, the slideshow was tacky. But your reaction and judgmental comments make you an AH. She's a 34 year old woman, of course she's been in relationships where she's been in love before. You sound closer to 16 than 24.

Font - Remote Replacement85. 2 hr. ago This. Also, most bachelorette parties are tacky in one way or another. It's kind of the point.

Font - adrianxoxox 28 min. ago This. Last one I went to had pen*s shaped popsicles, suckers, etc. OP acting all flabbergasted over "rude song lyrics" about s x blows my mind tbh, she's lucky they didn't book a male stripper or she probably would've had a coronary

Font - xoxosratgirl 17 min. ago Especially the I tattled and told mommy and bro like. First off if the brother doesn't care why tell your mom? What does that do other than trying to make the family hate the FSIL. The only person who's opinion matters is your brothers. So she should butt out of it

Font - Sonlaan 13 min. ago That is hilarious. I know my wife has a more colorful past than I do and you know what? As long as I am the last on that list its all I care about.
