Font - dogmatx61 6 hr. ago There's no excuse for this. I get no-contact delivery and don't even open my door until the delivery person is back in their car. If I have to open the door for someone, like a repair person, my dog is closed up in a room or behind a gate.

Font - CatpeeJasmine. 5 hr. ago Champion CC: JRT mix & Lucy: ACD mix I get no-contact delivery because the whole purpose of a food delivery for me is the no contact part. My porch light will be on, my dogs will be away, and I will happily leave a bigger tip for the experience of never having to speak to another human (at least not a stranger and not when I'm hungry). If I wanted to wear a bra and exchange brief pleasantries like a more social person, I'd pick it up myself.

Font - zombievettech. 6 hr. ago My dogs are friendly. I still watch the gps tracker or stare out the window and meet the delivery guy in the driveway to avoid having to deal with dogs at the door. I also tend to assume everyone out in public wants nothing to do with my dogs unless they explicitly walk up and ask to say hi. I don't understand why this isn't more common.

Font - BeLoWeRR 4 hr. ago My dog is friendly. I still don't let random people come up to him and let him, I still don't let him "say hi" to other leashed dogs, I still don't let him run free whenever I want. He does well every time someone walks up on us, every time another leashed dog gets in his personal space. We've taken elevator rides with other people and dogs. But it's for everyones safety.

Font - Astarkraven 6 hr. ago I hear you! I am not even a delivery person and "don't worry, he's friendly" is one of my very least favorite sentences that people regularly say to me. I can't stand it. It's always so oblivious and it frequently precedes some manner of confrontation with dog reactivity. And even when the dogs genuinely ARE friendly, they're usually in the midst of being very rude, pushy, getting in my dog's face and upsetting him, etc. No one who has control over their dog has to y

Rectangle - purplebibunny 6 hr. ago . We leave in our notes "Please leave at door, no doorbell - dogs" You'd be surprised how many drivers ring the bell and stand there until we answer while trying to keep 4 dogs from running out the door

Font - Onmylevel6666 hr. ago Dude 10000% agree. I'm not a delivery driver but I would never leave my dogs out while they walked up because I honestly don't know if they would attack or not. I mean, they are friendly but they are also dogs and very territorial. I'd honestly want them to defend and be protective if a stranger came up. So yeah man that's just messed up. I'm sorry you've been bitten and sorry you've experienced stupid dog owners.

Font - Lost Spell_2699 - 6 hr. ago I have 3 large, very vocal dogs when it comes to strangers. When I get delivery, I watch out the window for the driver and then meet them outside with the door closed. No worrying about my dogs getting out or the delivery drivers safety.
