Have you ever attempted to do the good, right thing, only to be lectured and criticized by someone who fails to recognize that you're doing them both a favor? OP was living on a city block of semi-detached houses with tiny front yards, and like anyone else, he appreciated a nice, clean aesthetic look in front of his own home. So he went about cutting his own grass when he realized that it would only take him an extra 5 minutes to do his neighbor's yard as well. This neighbor wasn't living on the property at the time, and the house was up for foreclosure. But OP called this neighbor nonetheless and offered his services, free of charge.
This neighbor accepted his offer gracefully, and OP went about cutting both of their grass. Another neighbor, whose home was attached to this house that was up for foreclosure, was less than thrilled, as some of the grass clippings appeared on his own yard. He didn't recognize that he and OP had a mutual problem and demanded that OP stop cutting the grass on this other mutual neighbor's home.
OP decided to do the neighborly thing, and maliciously comply. Scroll down to read what happened next.
