If there's one thing a devout Christian should never do, it's aggressively order an atheist redditor to lead in a prayer. They're just begging to be trolled. That's exactly what happened when u/Totknax was put on the spot by an obnoxiously religious distant relative at a family gathering. "Lead the prayer!" she demanded. OP obliged, but he didn't deliver the prayer she was hoping for.
“No kidding. A whole bird for under $5.” said OP.
“That we may offer thanks for this loss leader while exiting the holy warehouse with a $1.50 hot dog and drink combo. And lo did the Lord proclaim ‘the price on these hot dogs shall not change’” said u/theuserwithoutaname.
"Thanks be to you and your heavenly mustard. And a special blessing to your pepperoni pizza, may the grease live on forever on my hands and shirt." said u/JanuarySoCold.
“I'm guessing someone volunteered you to lead that prayer? lol.” asked OP.
“Yes, but not maliciously.” replied u/No-Individual2998.
“And now I need to memorize this prayer for any future obligations that arise. This is epic!” said u/Annonymouse211.
“Classic! I love it!” said OP.
