Nothing causes a wedding fail more than bad food. It's like a cruise, if the food is bad, it is going to make everyone sick. Is that what you want at your wedding? For everyone to be throwing up during the toasts? We didn't think so! However, something that seems to be a common thread between boomer parents and their kids is when food is inedible. Boomers have lived through some hard times, so their view on food going bad is a little more loosey goosey than millennials and Gen Z. They will freeze, defrost, refreeze, and reheat things over and over again until it's gone. Maybe their stomachs are like steel and can handle that, but many millennials now suffer from tummy issues, so like, was it worth it, dad??
Recently, a woman posted a horrifying wedding buffet situation. She and her husband got married 8 months ago. They had ordered extra food, for they had a big wedding, and intended to donate any leftovers to a soup kitchen. However, at the end of their wedding, there wasn't a lot of food leftover. So they just carried on with their lives. However, the missing food came back to haunt them 8 months later at her older sister's wedding.
The wedding was a small wedding and the bride and groom had already been dating for a decade. They didn't even want to have a wedding, but the bride's mother insisted, so she left it up to her to arrange. Everything was beautiful until the food was served. The younger sister discovered where her missing food had gone. Her mother told her she had taken it and froze it for EIGHT MONTHS. Then reheated it and served it at her sister's wedding.
She was horrified and immediately told her older sister, the bride, who was also horrified. They warned people not to eat the food and that was that. The wedding was still nice, but some of the older family members were upset that the younger sister ratted out the mom for serving old food. What do you think? Read it all below!
