'She said yes!': 5 girls picnicking in NYC capture a candid process of a stranger's romantic park marriage proposal, goes viral

Lots of wedding proposals happen in New York City. It's the city that never sleeps, the city booming with possibilities, and filled with passion. So it's not unusual to see someone on one need asking to if their partner will spend the rest of their life with them. No matter how cold hearted you are or how many proposals you've witnessed, it's still a joyous thing to encounter, especially when the person being proposed to says yes. 

Five girls picnicking in NYC recently got to witness a stranger's wedding proposal and their commentary made it even more emotional. They started with just seeing the set up. It appeared to be a nice little table with candles and a sign that read, “Will you marry me?” There was also a photographer and violist standing by. Then after two hours, the people started to leave and nothing was happening. They though maybe something went wrong, maybe the girl didn't show up! They were panicked, they were rooting for a happy “yes!” from the incoming couple. 

All of a sudden the couple emerge from down the path. They were dressed up and had a couple other photographers following them, so the girls guessed that the guy probably told her they were doing a photoshoot, but the proposal was to be a surprise. As the couple started walking up to the set up, the woman of the couple started to register what was happening. A hand went up to her a mouth in shock and tears of joy seemed to be flowing. This made the girls recording from the sidelines also start to tear up and cheer her on.

The man then got down on one knee, took out a Tiffany's ring box, and you see the woman, still in excited shock, nod her head yes and hold out her hand for the ring to be placed. She gave him a big romantic kiss and they stood up. The girls recording were whooping and cheering in excitement, celebrating the happiness of a total stranger. It was a beautiful candid moment capture and shows how humanity doesn't have to be all that bad. 

One viewer commented, “the commentary on this was UNMATCHED. Y’all need to find more proposals to comment on lol!" Another said, “It’s the joy for a complete stranger and love that reminds me how at the end of the day we are truly good humans still I love this.” One person added, “The way people can be excited for each other fills me with joy.”
