Ahhh yes, nothing like the good 'ole fashion micro-manager who does more work trying to hover over your every move than actual work that needs to get done. Most people come across these types of delightful managers at least once in their career and boy is it a hoot. That was us being sarcastic, if you couldn't tell… Micro-managers are the absolute WORST. The are entitled and think they can do your job better than you, so much so that they sacrifice their own duties to watch over yours and call you out for any itty bitty non-important mistake. And then when they get called out for slacking on their duties, they blame you. HA! What a delight, right?
An employee recently took to Reddit to describe his epic way of escaping an entitled micro-managing boss. The manager demanded that employees start turning in essays documenting what they do during their workday. So OP took it upon himself to make sure he turns in a very very detailed essay. He turned to the AI tool ChatGPT to help quickly compose an 8-paged paper of his day. When he turned it in, it made his manager even more upset and told him he was scheduling a performance review. Unfortunately for this micro-manger, this man is just waiting for the perfect moment to quit on the spot. He already has potential jobs lined up for when he quits.
