This family can't agree who's in the wrong for wrecking a family vacation. At least this dad thinks he's in the right, but he headed to r/AmItheA**hole to get a few opinions. Unfortunately for him, there are a variety of answers, with some commenters blaming him, while others place the blame on his new wife and stepdaughters, and still others who believe everyone is to blame.
As u/Positive-Elk-8110 wrote, the issue is that their stepdaughters, age 25 and 28, tried to sabotage the family vacation. After five years of marriage to his wife Beth, the OP lives with Beth's kids plus his own biological daughter, who is quite a bit younger than them at just 18 years old. It seems that the two stepdaughters are trying to take advantage of the OP's daughter Jessica. They keep trying to get her to babysit their kids during a family vacation.
The stepsisters were so out of line to try and force someone else to babysit their kiddos. It takes a village to raise children, but you have to handle most aspects of parenting yourself, you can't just expect someone to volunteer to care for your kids. It's a lot of work to take care of little ones, especially on a three day vacation. All the women had to do was pitch in some money to get a babysitter! Instead, they probably ruined their chances of the vacation happening at all… and if the OP listens to the commenters, they might have even ruined a marriage.
Next up, this traveler was forced to apologize to the person causing a noise disturbance on a flight.
