A couple of years ago, one of the funniest things to ever happen on Twitter happened. A man went viral for using dog shampoo. His first tweet went as follows.
"So it turns out I've been using dog shampoo on my hair for the last few months. (I only discovered it when I ran out and needed to get more.) this is partly my own fault but it doesnt help that @ArmandHammer has the word "pets" in like 4-pt typeface. I'm guessing this is common"
He failed to realize that the shampoo bottle with a giant picture of a Labrador Retriever printed on it was for dogs. In response to this criticism, he claimed that the inclusion of the dog picture…
"…doesn't mean anything. Lots of shampoos i used in the past have pictures of waterfalls, or people cleaning dishes, or gauzily drawn women frolicking in pastures, or dudes under waterfalls with chests provocatively projected outwards, or whatever
This statement implies that he's used dish soap as shampoo in the past. A similar situation happened this week when a woman thought that liquid soap was body lotion, even though the word bath was printed on the bottle in bold letters.
