Quitting your job often requires a one to two-week notice, which you normally give your boss with a grin on your face, knowing that soon enough, you'll be put out of your misery. Unless of course, you like your job, in which case, never mind. In this case, OP was working as a head bartender and got a new job as a senior bartender at another company. So, OP did what everyone else does when they decide they're going to quit: he informed his manager, giving in his one-week notice.
His manager sat OP down for what OP thought was going to be a productive conversation, but alas, that was the last thing that the manager had on his mind. Instead, the manager told OP he was 'unprofessional', lazy, and that his work ethic was nonexistent. Then the manager proceeded to tell OP that he was going to make his last week unbearable.
Now, this wasn't exactly the smartest thing that this manager could have done, one week before OP was going to quit, as he was risking retaliation… and boy did OP retaliate. Scroll down to read a detailed account of the events that unfolded. For more, here is a carpenter who quit, then took $45,000 worth of tools with him, leaving the company in a rut.
