Insecure Dad Tries to Brush of Daughter's Stepfather as Her Nanny, Gets Put in His Place
Sometimes, the best family we have are the ones who aren't blood relations. The one upside to being a kid who has a deadbeat parent is that you can have a chance for someone better to come along and make up for them. While this certainly doesn't always happen, it's heartening to hear stories where that's the case.
Becoming a stepdad is not an easy job, but it is something that one Redditor seems to have taken to with ease. However, the kid's biological father hasn't taken to it well. The stepfather talked about this in a recent AITA post, in which he described a blatant way that his daughter's other dad tried to undermine him.
Explaining that he had had to pick up his stepchild from a BBQ hosted by her dad, the insecure man tried to introduce him to friends and family as her nanny. When he stated his actual role, his rival was not too pleased.
Not shockingly, Redditors were in full support of the dad that stepped up. Hot tip: if you feel the need to insult one of your kid's guardians like this, maybe you aren't doing a good enough job yourself.
