Weekly Internet Roundup: Wholesome Kentucky Indian Food, CEO Massage Meetings, and Awkward Eric Stonestreet

Greetings, the roundup is back! Nothing has changed with the format of our easily digestible bulletin, but the internet has been busy remaking itself with the various memes and controversies of the moment. Let's take a look at a few of them.

Sitcom Promo Shot Meme 2.0

Getty Images is panning out to be the number 1 meme inspiration this fall, as yet another meme has sprung from its storied archives. We're still getting endless variations on the Kevin James smirking meme a month after it first appeared, and now it has a younger brother.

The actor/sitcom combination this time round is Eric Stonestreet as Cameron Tucker in Modern Family. He finds himself in many of the same predicaments that James does, but with a little extra added politeness. However did we express ourselves before these guys came along?

Whatever Stage of Capitalism This Is, I Don't Like It

LinkedIn has always been an underrated gem for doing under-the-radar sh*tposting. The only catch is that it has to motivational or work-related, and that it's usually done by the kind of people that most of us don't want to hear more from, anyway. That doesn't stop somebody like Tony Fernandes, who raised eyebrows with his intimate approach to posting on the platform.

The Capital A CEO used photographic evidence to reveal how he had received a half naked massage while also taking part in a management meeting. Not everybody was as impressed with his candid confession as he was, but it can't be denied it takes some strong self-confidence (or delusion) to put this kind of thing out there.

The Unifying Power of Butter Chicken

Few things are as guaranteed to start a vicious internet argument as food is. How we cook and what we prefer to eat are emotive topics, particularly when they involve issues of national identity and/or salt and pepper chips. As a result, anything edible is more likely to cause division than bring people together.

This made it a pleasant surprise to watch the internet rally around @lukefoods, a TikTok food reviewer who shared his experience of trying Indian cuisine for the first time. Singing the praises of his curry, naan, and sweets, people were glad that he got rewarded for stepping out of his comfort zone. It was definitely a bold move to to consume all that in a dress shirt. Reviewbrah, he's coming for ya.

That's everything we are going to look at for now. Have a good weekend, and take a moment to reset before another few day's worth of things happen to bamboozle us yet again. Bye!
