There is nothing more stressful and complex than a friendship breakup. Sometimes, it's easier to see that you need a divorce than it is to realize you need to cut off a friend. That's because people's definitions of friendship and what it means to be a good friend can vary. For the non-confrontational types like myself, this is the ideal situation. However, we all know that the "natural drifting apart" phenomenon is a rare one. More often than not, the reason why the friendship needs to end is because of a lack of mutual understanding. Confrontation, though horrible to experience, is inevitable in the majority of these scenarios.
