Font - Posted by u/CO-OP_GOLD 8 hours ago Taco Tuesday is dine-in only S OC The wife and I didn't feel like cooking tonight, or like going out. We decided to get tacos from a local chain restaurant thats known for doing taco Tuesday promotions, does take-out and is located in a hotel.

Font - First time doing this, but we eat in here probably once or twice a month. We have never taken in taco Tuesday up to this point, so we weren't aware of the following. I walk in and up to the bar, and ask if I can get tacos to go. I am informed that taco Tuesday is dine-in only, and thus they can't sell me any of the sale price tacos to go, BUT they can sell me tacos from the regular menu for regular price. The same tacos.

Font - "Thats fine I'll sit down" I say. I sit at the nearest 2 seat booth. Server comes over and I order 4 tacos. Anything else he asks? Nope. Anything to drink? Water is fine. I sip on the water and watch YouTube while I wait for the food, maybe 5 mins all told. When the two plates of tacos arrive, I ask for the cheque. I eat one taco in the time it takes for the server to get my bill and do a few other tables, so I'm not rushing by any means.

Font - As he takes the payment, he laughs and says "I guess you're gonna need a to go box?". Bam, you guessed it brother. Best part is I technically fulfilled the obligation of dining in, I just ordered too much food. TI; Dr : taco Tuesday was dine in only until I decided it wasn't.

Font - edthach 18 hr. ago I worked at a place that had weekday specials like this, Thursdays was $0.89 chicken tenders. 3 count minimum, and anything "to-go" was billed as a regular menu price. So if you order 6, eat one, and get a to-go box, 3 was priced at $0.89 apiece, 3 was priced at regular menu price. Obviously it was up to the server to bill it that way, so if you ordered 30 for a table, and took home 6, the server usually didn't care to price them out different. But the management really

Font - Old MetalHead 18 hr. ago Little Caesar's had a special on pepperoni pizzas for like $5.00 years ago. We were ordering 8 pizzas for a kid's birthday party, two of which would be pepperoni. We wanted delivery because we were still getting ready for the party. We were told that the pepperoni pizza special was carry-out only. Me, "we ordered $200 worth of pizza, just throw the pepperoni pizzas on the truck." "I'm sorry sir. We can't do that. You need to come pick them up." Me, "no I don't. Ca

Font - Elon Diddles Kids 19 hr. ago I've seen a few places put a halt to this type of MC. I've seen a few that specify item ordered and eaten in the restaurant cost X amount, but there's an additional surcharge per item if you don't finish them and want to take them home. It's fair, they're usually breaking even or losing money to drive alcohol sales. Vote Reply Share 3fluffypotatoes +1. 17 hr. ago That's why you pay first, eat after in this type of situation. Font - BarrTheFather +1 - 19 hr. ago We used to do taco tuesday. The amount of tacos people would order to go would have crippled us. You did the right thing. Whoever served you probably just didn't know how extreme your taco order would have been. You are in the right but the rule is self protection. Vote Reply Share
