Calm, easy, effortless, peaceful… Many people subconsciously that being in a healthy, secure relationship is boring. Where is the passion if you don't fight? Doesn't fighting mean that the other person cares? After years of therapy, I can tell you that no, 'fighting' all the time isn't 'passion', it's just unhealthy. For the first time in my life, I am in a healthy relationship, and let me tell you, it feels worlds apart from anything I have ever experienced. That being said, we had our first 'fight' today, if you can call it that. I am basically an anxious mess when it comes to conflict, and he isn't one to be afraid to say what is on his mind (respectfully).

So he said something that hurt my feelings, and even though it certainly wasn't the end of the world, it definitely felt like it. I was so mad that I couldn't speak. I decided that instead of reacting from a place where I felt triggered, that I would bring it up at a later time when we both had time to calm down. He actually brought it up before I was able to, and we talked it out. Then, I began looking for memes to share with you, and stumbled upon some funny ones that more or less could be related to the situation we had earlier today.
