The Funniest Harry Potter Memes of the Week (August 15, 2023)

I will never not be baffled by the Harry Potter fandom's ability to create new ships out of nothing. Granted, it makes sense because Harry Potter has been around for nearly 25 years, which is about ancient as far as fandoms go. But some of these new pairings have got me scratching my head. The worst, in my opinion (and one of the most popular) new ships is Jegulus. I'm sorry to inform you that this pairing is made up of James Potter and Sirius's younger brother Regulus together. I can try to explain the reasoning behind this ship, even though I know it will be painful for both of us. The basic crux is that it would be awkward and interesting for James to be dating his best friend's brother. I don't know, I don't really get it either. The only other thing I know about Jegulus is that there is a very popular Hunger Games AU fanfic about them, and it is taking the internet by storm. If you're a Harry Potter fan who does not care about these goofy Mauraders-era ships, these Harry Potter memes will be a welcome diversion from this paragraph you just consumed.
