Happy Tuesday, people with parents! This week, we've collected the absolute peak of unhinged parental texts for you. It's not quite fun or funny, but for anyone with awful parents, this collection is a little too relatable.

Not to dump on any individual reading this article, but I'm not in contact with either of my parents. And that's a good thing! Sure, it'd be nice to have family members to call my own, but that's what your friends' parents are for. Thanksgiving with a friend's family always hits harder; believe me. At a point, it's just the most healthy and reasonable decision to cut your communication off with awful parents. If they're entirely resistant to positive change, consistently exhibit toxic behavior, and make your entire existence worse – what's the point in having these people in your life?

I'm most certainly jaded, but that doesn't mean you have to be as well. Sometimes parents just suck. Here are some of the worst, most cringy, and all-around awful interactions we found this week.
