30 Cats Sitting Like Purrfectly Proper Ladies And Not Doing Anything Abnormal At All

We don't know about you, but when we're sitting at the office, we can't sit still. We're always changing positions to get comfortable, one leg up, then the other leg, crossed legs, etc. But, that's nothing compared to coming home to find your cat sitting like an alien! Well, not exactly like an alien, but like a hooman, and that feels quite alien to us. Cats are cats, they're not supposed to sit like hoomans. Occasionally, they also stand like hoomans, and that's even weirder!

All the cats in this post are sitting pretty (to them, at least), in some strangely hooman-like ways that make us question if they aren't really just aliens in little cat suits. It's one of the many weird things that cats just do, although definitely not the weirdest, but we still can't help but stare. Does your cat sit like these purrfectly proper ladies?

Uh huh, yes. This is a very normal picture of a cat, absolutely nothing abnormal here. Just some strangely long front legs and some precariously folded back ones. And even a rose in the background for some extra feminine feline presence. Very normal!

The squinty squat - a classic sitting technique used by only the orneriest of ladies. They usually sit like this after they've been rudely awakened from a nap, or when they realize that you're at least five seconds late for dinner.
