Font - r/StoriesAboutKevin Posted by u/Dragon_Crystal Kevin wants to watch a movie after we've been shut down XXL s This happened several years ago and I've only worked at R Cinema for a year, since it had just reached my 1 year mark and we heard rumors of us shutting down, but we didn't know when until it was made official during our last few months of operation. I'm working in the box office and it was a pretty quiet day with only a few customers here and there, many of them would ask if it wa

Font - For the most part all the customers were understanding and wished us luck on wherever we move on to, as well as say they'll come and watch as many movies before we get shut down, not this Kevin though. He still believes that we were lying and called me as well as wanted to speak to the manager about this new movie he's been dying to watch, I believe it was a Bruce Lee remake called Fist of the Dragon or something along that line, here's how it went. I'm dumping the used 3D glasses into a

Me: sir, we will be closing down at the end of the month. Kevin: what do you mean closing at the end of the month? How can I watch movies if your closing down? Can't you just do an early showing? Me: no we can't cause as soon as the month ends, we're going to help take things down and move whatever we can bef

Font - Kevin: this is BS, I want to speak to the manager. Me: she'd currently at a meeting call with the higher ups. Kevin: I don't care, I want to speak with the manager about watching my movie. Me: ok I'll radio her and see if she's done with her meeting. I put the phone down and move away to radio River our no BS GM, "hey River are you done with your meeting?" River: yes I just finished. What do you need. Me: I've got a customer who wants to watch a movie that is coming out after this month.

Font - I put the radio down and go back to the phone. Me: sir are you still there? Kevin: well can I speak to the manager? Me: yes she just finished her meeting and I'll transfer you to her right away. Kevin: good click I transfer him and go back to finish boxing the glasses and just finished taping up the box, when I hear the office door of the manager's office open and River's heel clicking in my direction, I prepared myself in case it's something bad and she knocks on the door, which I open f

Font - River: ok I had to make sure, cause he claimed that you told him, he can have an early showing of the movie and when I told him that's not happening. (She had to stop herself from laughing) HE threatened to call corporate to have them demanded he gets his early showing or we'd all get fired for refusing service to him. We ended up laughing about it and I was allowed to go back to work, but we told everyone else this incident and never got a call from corporate cause like mentioned above w

Font - committedlikethepig 16 hr. ago I would've. "Oh yes sir. We'll reserve these tickets for you. Please arrive 15 mins early, and we'll set everything else up for you" Shows up to a demo site Reply Share 32 Dragon Crystal OP 16 hr. ago We wouldn't be there but we'll tell him to speak with the construction crew to start the demolition

Font - BitterFuture 12 hr. ago "pay your tax?" Did he think movie theaters are operated by the government?
  • 13
Font - B rosuav 12 hr. ago I was a bit confused by that too, but I think some people are of the opinion that, as soon as they pay even a dollar of tax money, they're entitled to everything the country can give them - the entire country, not just the government. 431 Reply Share Dragon Crystal OP 11 hr. ago In his mind the government owns the business

Font - voiceofAFO 6 hr. ago Reading this, I half expected Kevin to be a solitary protester, sign in hand, attempting to block the demolition. 5 Reply Share Dragon Crystal OP - 4 hr. ago To be honest a few of my coworkers were saying that they would do so and than sprint away for the fun of it, I wasn't one of them and cause River was giving us the "you better not be serious" look from across the room, but I half expected a lot of people doing this when they found out we were closing down

Font - pianomasian 9 hr. ago I genuinely wonder how this person functions in their everyday life. The sheer entitlement and ignorance mixed in with a healthy dose of stupidity is incredible. What a train- wreck of a human being. It's people like this (especially anyone with any kind of authority/power), becoming more commonplace, that makes me lose hope in humanity.

Font - Mistress Phoenix 5 hr. ago We should never have started putting warning labels on things for dangers that were simple common sense. 2 Reply Share Dragon_Crystal OP - 6 hr. ago Yeah I agree, they make you wonder if they are purposefully doing this to be funny or just naturally stupid and who allowed them to act this way, cause clearly they need proper education and are just causing trouble for everyone else
