Work drama is never fun, but usually the best advice is to never burn bridges when it comes to your career. If you want to leave a toxic workplace, try to leave on good terms just in case you have to work with them again.
On Reddit, a guy who worked at a warehouse relayed a story where some people burned some bridges and he was the one to show them how that was a baaaad idea. It wasn't just one incident, OP was working with several of his friends who all of a sudden turned on him for x,y,z. He tried to cut them out of his life and move on, but they were relentless. They started spreading rumors about OP at work, so much so that even his manager was writing him up. Eventually, he had to leave that job. Conveniently, he was able to get a job at the company that handles the contracts for the employees at the warehouse he used to work out, that means the jobs of his ex-friends. So he starts dropping hints that these certain employees should be investigated.
See? You shouldn't burn bridges, because you better believe OP got those ex-friends and ex-coworkers fired. You get what you deserve, everybody!
